BROOKVILLE – Early foul trouble for four East Central boys basketball starters set the stage for an ugly 64-48 whipping at Franklin County Friday.

“We played bad and they played well,” said EC coach David Disbro, whose Trojans dipped to 4-7 overall, falling into a third-place tie in the conference standings with the victorious Wildcats (3-7, 2-3).

He went on to list the litany of EC shortcomings Friday.

“We gave up 17 offensive rebounds,” Disbro began. “We got outrebounded by 14. We missed nine free throws. They took 21 more shots than we did. And we made 19 turnovers.”
