LAWRENCEBURG – Lawrenceburg girls basketball, a solid 20-point loser to EIAC rival Batesville in November, shocked the Bulldogs in their return match, 40-36, Saturday afternoon.

Limited the visitors to single-digit scoring in each of the last two quarter, coach Bill Snyder's Lady Tigers again evened their season mark (7-7), as well as their Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference tally (3-3) with the four-point shocker.

“Our players did a wonderful job of finishing in the second half,” said LHS coach Bill Snyder. “We haven't done that well and we haven't shot well. But we ran our offense and played our usual good defense. We hustled and stayed in the game and the shots fell for us this time.”
