While new U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-South Bend, may come from the opposite end of the state, he has something in common with the southeast corner of Indiana.

“I’m not from Indianapolis, so I know it’s important to spread our blessings throughout the state,” Donnelly told the Dearborn County Economic Development Initiative board Monday, Jan. 14.
