Bright Fire and EMS is getting the $40,000 it requested at the beginning of the year. Dearborn County Commissioners had placed a hold on the request until it received some information on the department and its finances.

While the information was received, county officials also found out the money was for 2012 not for 2013. Each EMS unit gets $20,000 for each ambulance it has, with a maximum of $40,000.
