How often can you go to a benefit and hear the beneficiary himself playing in a band? Those are Aaron Watson's plans for this Saturday, Jan. 26, when his friends hold a benefit for him at the Milan Legion, featuring five bands including his own, Cannon Ball Express. The Moores Hill man was deer hunting Saturday, Nov. 17, when his tree stand broke and he fell 32 or 33 feet, breaking his left shoulder, his pelvis, and 12 ribs “multiple times” as well as rupturing his adrenal gland and spleen. “I took five limbs out on my way out of that tree,” added Watson, 41, who also suffered a brain injury and a partially-collapsed lung.To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
