Multiple Machining, Inc., Dillsboro, will pay fewer taxes over the next 10 years, thanks to an abatement granted by Dillsboro Town Council at its Monday, Jan. 14, meeting. The company is expanding, unlike many other machining shops which closed during the economic downturn, said Mike Draper of Project Point, Indianapolis. Draper has been working with the company's owner Chip Farrell the past nine months, “trying to find a way for him to expand his business here in Dillsboro,” said Draper. Multiple Machinery was awarded a $400,000 grant from the City of Lawrenceburg Regional Economic Grant Program in late November toward the company's $2 million expansion project.To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
