ST. LEON – East Central boys varsity basketball coach David Disbro, far and away the all-time winner in Trojan history, celebrated his 200th career victory Friday, 50-30 over South Dearborn. EC varsity, now 6-7, 3-3 in Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play, gave its 14-year boss another present Saturday for the weekend sweep, 64-45 over I-74 rival Harrison, Ohio. “It means that we’ve had a lot of great kids and great assistant coaches,” said Disbro, whose career mark moved to 201-101 overall with Saturday’s win. “We’ve all been on the same page and we’ve had a lot of consistency in the program. “I owe a lot to the head coaches who came before me – Fred Boger, Doug Knue and Randy Snodgrass. I learned from all of them. We’ve also been fortunate to have players come back and coach.” To read the rest of this article please subscribe or sign in |
