LAWRENCEBURG – Senior K.C. Hedger is the first-ever Lawrenceburg athlete to be named Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference Most Valuable Wrestler.

With LHS hosting the conference tournament at Bateman Gym for the first time since 1988 Saturday, it was Hedger (36-1), ranked No. 15 in the state in the 170-pound weight class, who took top individual honors.

Top-seeded Hedger edged out four-time EIAC champion Ricky Brown, East Central's No.13-ranked standout at 220 pounds, for MVP award, pinning both opponents he faced.
