AURORA – Headed by four weight class champions, a total of 19 Dearborn County high school wrestlers will advance from Saturday’s 10-team IHSAA sectional tournament at South Dearborn.

Connersville’s Spartans, as expected, repeated as sectional team champion by a healthy 198-162 margin over East Central’s runner-up Trojans. Top four placers in each sectional weight class punched their tickets to next Saturday’s Richmond regional.

Coach Derek Rehage’s EC crew gave Connersville a run for the title behind 220-pound sectional champion Ricky Brown (39-1), the senior ranked No. 13 in the state coaches’ association poll.
