| School not happy with L’burg expansion |

Lawrenceburg’s Redevelopment Commission approved expanding the city’s Tax Increment Finance District along part of U.S. 50 around Tanners Creek Drive in a special meeting Tuesday, Jan. 22. The expansion initially had been presented Monday, Jan. 14, but concerns about it were raised from the Lawrenceburg school board representative Pat Myers. At the Jan. 22 meeting attorney Leslie Votaw said Myers is a non-voting member of the commission. There have been attempts by the Indiana General Assembly to make the school board representative on redevelopment commissions a voting member, but those have failed, said Votaw.
