|Dillsboro eyesore going, expansion coming|

A longstanding eyesore in Dillsboro will cost $6,400 to remove, Dillsboro Town Council found out at its special meeting Monday, Jan. 28.
Council opened five bids for the demolition of 12888 North St., a property it acquired earlier this month, said town manager Scott Fortner. The bids ranged from $6,400 to $17,150, and council approved accepting the low bid from Dan Monroe, Dillsboro.A date for the demolition has not yet been set, said Fortner.
