Whether you play a team sport or individual sport, it is critical that you make the time and work out on your own to improve your individual skills.

You may have the benefit of individual instruction, but even that isn't always essential to help you improve.

The responsibility falls on you. Set aside time 2-3 days weekly to work on the fundamentals of your sport that improve your quickness, strength, speed, power, and skill level.
