ST. LEON – They’ve set a school record with a 17-3 season and their second-straight conference title.

What can East Central’s Lady Trojans girls basketball varsity do for a topper? Make a Class 4A Sectional 14 tournament run that starts tonight (Tuesday) against Bloomington North (8-12) for starters.

Head coach Kevin Moore has warned EC’s best-ever team about over-confidence, along with all the other potential postseason pitfalls.

“Bloomington North's record is very deceiving because of the top-20 schedule they play,” Moore said. “They have a Division I talent in Shai Warfield. Anytime you have a player with that type of talent with some shooters around her, you have to take notice.”
