LAWRENCEBURG – Focused on improving on its ragged 59-52 conference loss at Franklin County Dec. 12, Lawrenceburg boys basketball did just that Saturday afternoon. With a well-played 62-52 revenge win, coach John Blackwell’s Tigers neared the .500 mark again, at 8-7, notched their second Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference victory (2-7) and put together a modest two-game win streak. FC’s Wildcats (5-11), with their second-straight EIAC loss, fell to 2-6 in the league. Behind a combined 41 points from senior guards Jalen Obertate (21, 7-8 free throws, 8 rebounds, 4 deflections) and Robbie Jackson (20, 3-5 treys, 3 rebounds, 3 deflections) LHS led at all stops in the Saturday afternoon matinee game, 13-7, 32-25 and 45-39. “We were excited to beat what we consider a quality team, one that got us earlier,” said Blackwell. “Franklin County’s record is misleading.
