|Don’t flush THAT!|

The list of what shouldn’t be flushed is a lot longer than what should be flushed down the toilet. While the occasional toddler/youngster flushed items that obviously should NOT be flushed, such as Lego blocks or Hot Wheels, some items are deceiving in their flushability, according to local utility superintendents.
Greendale Utility Superintendent and City Manager Steve Lampert said his utility has seen an uptick in pumps needing repair. South Dearborn Regional Sewer District Superintendent and Harrison, Ohio, City Councilman Bill Neyer notes the Lawrenceburg-based sewerage treatment plant and the Harrison treatment plant have had similar issues.
