UPDATE:  At approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 12, the Dearborn County Sheriff's Department located missing person Blanche Cook.  She was located near Lake Dilldear Rd in Dillsboro.  Blanche is being transported to the local hospital for medical treatment and is in stable condition.

Original story: A massive search is under way near Dillsboro for an elderly woman. 

Blanche Cook was reported missing near Spangler Road Monday, Feb. 11. 

Cook, 78, has Alzheimer's, and when she was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, jeans and an orange knit cap.
