Q:  Danica Patrick became the first woman driver to win pole position in a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race when she topped qualifying for the Daytona 500 Sunday? What was her other major career first prior to Daytona?

A: Patrick, 30, a native of Beloit, Wisconsin, was the first female driver to lead laps in the Indianapolis 500 when she finished third in 2009 – the highest finish in that legendary race for a woman. She also is the only woman to win an IndyCar race, in 2008 in Japan.
