ST. LEON – East Central boys basketball returned the favor for its 16-point loss at Franklin County earlier this season with a 31-point runaway in Friday's EIAC return match.
Overwhelming defensive pressure forced FC's Wildcats into a whopping 31 turnovers as coach David Disbro's Trojans grabbed 20 steals while moving to 12-9 on the season with their fourth consecutive win, 82-51.
With only Friday's Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference showdown with No. 2-ranked league leader Greensburg (18-1, 8-1) left on the regular slate, East Central now has won six of its last seven and eight of 10 since that fateful 64-48 embarassment at Franklin County Jan. 11.“Our first game with them wasn't pretty,” said Disbro. “We changed our whole approach after that and we kind of look at it as our turning point of the season.
