Lawrenceburg Police Department made an arrest during a follow-up in a burglary investigation at approximately 1:25 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, said LPD Lt. Brian Miller.
While officers were still on the scene they located the suspect in a vacant apartment just prior to K9 deployment. The suspect was identified as Jeremy Jenkins, said Miller.
Jenkins was arrested for Burglary a class B Felony, Theft a class D Felony, and Criminal Mischief a class A Misdemeanor. Jenkins also had warrants for his arrest from Franklin County and Hamilton County, Ohio. The warrants from Hamilton County included aggravated robbery, robbery, and two counts of felonious assault., he said.
The fact that a person has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The Lawrenceburg Police Department was assisted by the Special Crimes Unit and the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, said Miller.
