On March 1, Zimmer Tractor of Aurora acquired the business of Nugent Tractor Sales, 523 Eads Parkway, Lawrenceburg. 

Zimmer Tractor and Turf held a grand opening and ribbon cutting May 19.

Representatives from Lawrenceburg on hand were Mike Rozow, Mel Davis and Charlie Blankenship. 

Nugent Tractor Sales has had a long standing reputation of providing quality tractors and equipment, along with lawn and garden equipment for many years.  Zimmer Tractor and Turf is specializing in all your turf equipment needs and will continue to offer Cub Cadet, Exmark, Scag, Echo and Stihl as its major lines.

Owner Daryl Zimmer would like to express his thanks to Johnny Nugent for his gracious help in the transition of the business and a special thanks to the customers for their support through this transition period.

Angel F. Marks has opened law practice at 215 Main St., Suite 6 in Rising Sun. She will be serving “of counsel” to the law office of attorney Lane Siekman in addition to maintaining her own legal practice. She originally moved to Rising Sun in 1987 and continues to maintain a home in Ohio County. In 1998 she was licensed as a nurse.

Marks graduated from Indiana University School of Law and obtained her juris doctor in 2005. After law school, Marks was “of counsel” to the Indiana Juvenile Justice Task Force in Indianapolis. She traveled throughout the state, training Division of Children’s Services case managers in educational advocacy and representing families of children with special needs.

Marks also was the executive director of the education advocacy project in Indianapolis, assisting juvenile public defenders with clients who had educational, medical and mental health issues.

Marks also was assigned as public defender for truancy court.

Marks has experience as mediator, guardian ad litem, and parenting coordinator. She is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the American Association of Nurse/Attorneys, and belongs to local organizations.

The Southeast ISBDC is hosting a series of Social Media Workshops. The workshops will take place on four consecutive Wednesdays, starting May 23, and continuing through June 13. Each workshop will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on their respective day.

Each workshop will be offered for $25, but if you register for the series you can get all four for $75.

The event will take place at Indiana University Southeast, Library LB-235 (4201 Grant Line Rd.). Kate Caufield, Business Advisor, Southeast ISBDC will be providing instruction on:
