October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Safe Passage was helped by Big G’s BBQ and Catering which hosted the BBQ for Blue fundraiser on Sept. 12. The Greendale caterer presented a $2,200 check to both Safe Passage and the Fraternal Order of Police Cops and Kids program. More than 300 pulled pork sandwiches were given away with a freewill donation. The city of Greendale helped coordinate the event.
