When asked what makes him a Student of Character, Aurora Elementary sixth-grader Breckin McCreary is notably modest.

“I try to be someone’s friend ... if someone is struggling with something, I try to help out,” said Breckin.

But that simple philosophy is why Breckin is respected and admired by so many people in his life.
