Caucus to fill co. council vacancy
The Dearborn County Republican Party will hold a caucus to fill a vacancy on the County Council following the resignation of Charlie Keyes.
Jim Thatcher, Dearborn County Republican Party chairman, said the caucus of Republican precinct committee chairs will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 at the Dearborn County Government Center in the new County Commissioners’ meeting room.
Those interested in being considered for the at-large County Council position must file a Declaration of Candidacy form and financial statement form with the Dearborn County Clerk of Courts, with a copy to the party chairman. The Declaration of Candidacy must be filed with the party chairman no later than 72 hours prior to the Feb. 6 caucus.
