Employment committee vice chair is Lyness
State Rep. Randy Lyness, R-West Harrison, was recently reappointed as vice chair of the House Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee.
“Making Indiana an attractive place for new businesses and supporting Hoosier workers continues to be a top priority,” Lyness said.
“With the state’s unemployment rate the ninth lowest in the nation, Indiana remains in a great position for those looking for meaningful employment.”
He was also reappointed to the House Commerce, Small Business and Economic Development Committee and the House Local Government Committee, and newly appointed to the House Government and Regulatory Reform Committee.
Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 3 in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2019 legislative session.
