Traffic pattern change on I-74 near Batesville begins Tuesday, April 16

The Indiana Department of Transportation will divert all westbound traffic to the south side of the median on I-74 near Batesville between mile marker 143 and mile marker 156 beginning Tuesday, April 16, at 6 p.m., weather permitting.
Both east and westbound lanes will be restricted to single lanes with concrete barriers until approximately Nov. 1.
All ramps at exit 149 (Batesville) will be open to traffic for both entering and exiting I-74.
The westbound rest area at mile marker 153 will be closed starting Monday, April 15, and will remain closed until Nov. 1.
The eastbound rest area at mile marker 153 has been permanently closed since February 2019.
