Teen struck and killed on Ind. 1

Fifteen-year-old Joshua Welsh, Guilford, was struck and killed on Ind. 1, in Dover Saturday, Nov. 16.
Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 25743 Ind. 1. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Debra Baker, 55, Guilford was traveling north when a pedestrian ran from the west side of the road directly in the path of Baker’s 2013 Dodge Durango, said Sheriff Shane McHenry.
Welsh was transferred to University of Cincinnati Hospital by UC AirCare, and pronounced dead upon arrival, he said.
A prayer service was held Sunday, Nov. 17, at All Saints Parish St. John Campus, Dover.
All Saints Parish Pastor Jonathan Meyer asked for prayers for Welsh on Facebook on Nov. 16. He said Welsh was a member of the Altar Boyz, a club started by Meyer.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by UC AirCare, Harrison Fire Department and EMS, Sunman EMS, and St. Leon Fire Department and first responders
