More fun on the way
Work to repair a road slide on Ind. 46 in Dearborn County begins next week. The Indiana Department of Transportation has contracted with GeoStabilization International to repair a slide that occurred in late March after heavy rains. Crews are expected to begin work on Monday, April 27, between Chappelow Hill and Whites Hill roads, constructing a 100-foot soil nail, shotcrete wall along the area east of U.S. 52. The official detour for the closure will follow Interstate 74. This work will be completed as part of an emergency slide repair contract. Ind. 46 is expected to reopen by mid-May, weather permitting.
