Norma Lee Heeke, 92, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018.
She was born Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1925, in Guilford, Ind., daughter of the late William Cook and Leora Jacobs Cook. At age 55, Norma Lee started working at Dearborn County Hospital in the laundry and central supply, she was there for over 42 years.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and she also attended the First Baptist Church in Manchester. Norma Lee farmed for many years, picking strawberries from acres of berries. She enjoyed gardening, embroidery and sewing, as well as collecting baskets, dolls and teddy bears.
Surviving are sons, Jerry Heeke of Aurora, Ind., Garry (Cathy) Heeke of Aurora, Ind.; grandchildren, Bobbie (Dennis) Jackson, Chris (Christa) Heeke, Matt (Melissa) Heeke; great-grandchildren, Adreanna, Jacob, Megan and Logan Heeke, Noah, Avah and Skylah Jackson.
Friends will be received Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, from noon to 2 p.m. at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home Aurora, Ind. Services will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will following in Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Ind.
