If it looked like one entire side of Saturday’s wrestling sectional faceoff line was filled with East Central Trojans, that would be correct, as EC advanced to 12 of 14 championship matches en route to its 20th title in school history.

After tying South Dearborn's girls basketball career scoring mark of 1,059 points last Friday, senior guard Kyrstin Bond's first points in Tuesday night's 37-28 EIAC loss at Franklin County put her over the top. The 5'8" guard hit a 3-point shot from left of the key with just under one minute left in the first period, at which point time out was called for head coach Doug Robertson to present his third-year scoring leader with the game ball. Bond finished the night with 19 of SD's 28 points. Capping their regular season at 4-18 (1-6 EIAC), SD's girls meet Franklin County (8-13, 2-5) again in next Wednesday's Class 3A Sectional 60 quarterfinal round on the Knights' home court. Amy March, who graduated in 1990, held South Dearborn's all-time scoring mark for 20 years.
