Bitter cold weather has resulted in tonight's (Wednesday) two Class 3A girls basketball sectional games at Lawrenceburg High School being pushed back two days, which bumps the championship game to Monday night, Feb. 4.

Sectional 29 quarterfinal round games matching Lawrenceburg vs. South Dearborn and Franklin County vs. Madison now will be played on the same schedule (6 and 7:30 p.m.) Friday night, Feb. 1, LHS athletic director Mark Pierson posted.

Friday's originally scheduled 3A sectional semifinal round games now move to Saturday night, Feb. 2, with bye-team Greensburg vs. Tuesday winner Rushville tipping off at 6 p.m. Friday's winners will meet in the second semifinal contest Saturday at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Sectional 29 championship game now tips off at 7 p.m. this coming Monday at Lawrenceburg.

Due to the girls sectional schedule changes, Thursday's boys varsity/JV home basketball doubleheader with East Central has been moved to Tuesday, Feb. 12, at LHS. The reserve game will tip off at 6 p.m., as usual.
