TIGER FOOTBALL FILLS GAP WITH TECH FRIDAY
LAWRENCEBURG - Lawrenceburg High School's last-minute desperation search for an opponent to fill Friday night's varsity football schedule opening paid off early Wednesday afternoon.
LHS head coach Ryan Knigga announced that the No. 6-ranked Tigers (3-1) will travel to Indianapolis Friday for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Arsenal Technical High School, the first-ever Class 6A rival on the LHS schedule.
The Titans are 2-1 under first-year head coach Craig Chambers, formerly at Indianapolis Howe and Marion. Tigers replace Tech's scheduled foe Muncie Central, which is on quarantine following a positive COVID-19 test.
Tech's Howard Longshore Stadium, is located just north of the high school, at 1500 E. Michigan St., in the Arsenal Heights district, just northeast of Lucas Oil Stadium and downtown Indianapolis.
Athletic director Mosi Barnes provided the following instructions for Tiger fans planning to make the trip:
Face masks are required.
Social distancing is mandatory.
Only two family members per participating student-athlete.
Contact information is required at check-in entrance gate.
Ticket gate will open at 6:45 p.m.
Tickets are $6 each.
Concession stand will not be open.
