EC scrimmage not much of a game

ST. LEON - It wasn’t much of game at Trojan Field Friday night, Aug. 10. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t even a game at all. East Central’s Trojans got to hit someone besides their teammates in a controlled scrimmage against the New Albany Bulldogs. All the Trojans who wore a black helmet played during the roughly two-hour scrimmage. It was a shakeout of sorts for the team’s first game, this coming Friday’s Crosstown Showdown against Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference rival Lawrenceburg. “We ran a variety of formations, a variety of plays, and we played everybody in a black helmet tonight,” said head coach Don Stonefield. “It was just about getting the kids out here, getting the kids geared up and going after it. “
