Rising Sun's Shiners (4-6) captured their first-ever River Town Classic championship, 51-35 over Switzerland County Saturday night, Jan. 5, at South Dearborn. Senior guard Noah Pflum was named tourney MVP, with classmate Nick Koons also named to the all-tournament squad.

AURORA - Lawrenceburg girls basketball led comfortably enough, 21-12 at halftime over host South Dearborn, in its quest for a third-straight River Town Class championship Friday night.
