Five-year old Guilford cousins Courtney Swales and Scarlett Kirchgassner bailed out of the stroller pushed by mom/aunt Denise Kirchgassner to finish Sunday morning’s St. Martin’s 5K Country Run under their own power in Yorkville. Proud dad and uncle Zak Kirchgassner greeted the pair at the finish line in the 39th annual event.

Most Improved Runner award for the 39th annual St. Martin's 5K Country Run was 12th overall finisher Carrie Doan, 37, of Cincinnati, who topped her 2018 time by a full 3:27, in 23:27.

ST. MARTIN'S 5K GOES HIGH-TECH FOR 39TH YEAR

YORKVILLE - As Dearborn County's longest-running road race, St. Martin's 5K (formerly 10K) Country Run acquired plenty of tradition in its first 38 years of Sunday morning competition.
