East Central 2019 graduate Emma Hotopp - a former Trojan cheerleader and all-star competitive cheerleader for 10-plus years for the Midwest Cheer Elite in West Chester, Ohio - tried out and was selected for the USA National Team recently. Now a Morehead State (Ky.) University student, where she's majoring in Education, Emma will be competing for gold representing the United States in April. South Dearborn's own cheer team won the River Town Classic Cheerleading Competition for the third-straight year Saturday, Jan. 11, on the home floor. SD also placed fifth it its division in the Indiana State Championships Nov. 7, making for a very successful year.
