Speedy sophomore centerfielder and leadoff hitter Tobie Teke came into his own as South Dearborn’s offensive catalyst this spring, batting .418 with 32 runs scored, 19 walks and 9 steals to earn all-conference honors.

Lawrenceburg High School football senior graduate Jalen Parks (seated at right) recently committed to Wilmington College, in Wilmington, Ohio. Joining him was grandmother Terri Childers (seated, left), and standing, from left, brother Dahya Patel and grandparents Nancy and Bill Parks. Jalen was the Tigers' second-leading receiver in 2018 with 50 catches for 671 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also netting nearly 500 yards in kick and punt returns. Wilmington's Quakers - 1-9 last fall and returning 17 players at the wide receiver spot - are an NCAA Division III member that compete in the 10-team Ohio Athletic Conference. (LHS Athletics)

Lawrenceburg High School baseball senior graduate Austin Weimer (seated at right) recently committed to Indiana University Southeast, located in New Albany. Joining him were parents Andrea and Steve Weimer (standing at right), along with LHS head coach Nick Tremain. Austin was the leading hitter for the Tigers at .429 as a third-year starter at shortstop this spring, earning All-Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference honors and selection to the Indiana South All-Star team. Jace earned All-Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference honors at third base and as a pitcher for the EIAC and Class 3A sectional champion Knights. Ivy Tech’s Titans, coached by Lance Hershberger, finished 33-14 this past season and compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Region XII. (SD Athletics)
