EC DODGES BULLET, WINS IT IN 7TH, 3-2

ST. LEON - With the score tied 2-2, East Central baseball dodged a major bullet in the top of the seventh inning in Monday's tense 3-2 EIAC home victory over Greensburg.

East Central girls varsity tennis defeated Connersville 5-0 on the home court at St. Leon Tuesday night, May 7, to finish 6-1 in Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play, winning the regular season league title for only the second time in school history. Now 14-1 overall, Coach Scott Kluener's starting lineup consists of Heidi Kane, Maddie Richter and Riley Bamberger in singles and the doubles teams of Brooke Stonefield/Abby Bischoff and Rachel Kraus/Grace Kraus. Lady Trojans enter the EIAC Position Championships tournament starting today (Thursday) and concluding Saturday at Greensburg. (EC Athletics)
